Our Legacy

We met as two little girls a long time ago way back in 1984!

Our interest in dance put us in the same place at the same time. Throughout our childhood, we grew closer and spent a lot of time together, both in and out of the studio. We laugh at the times Miss Aimee's mom miraculously fixed a costume or braided our hair to tight, and Miss Heather's dad chauffeured us around from class to class. He listened to us complain all while fogging up his truck windows because we were so sweaty! We were chatty with big dreams.... even back then! We were lucky enough to have a space where all was right in the world... regardless of what was happening in our outside lives.

Dance has become a passion for both of us.  We performed and competed together up until high school graduation. By this time, we had a strong friendship and a connection that simply could not be broken. We have danced in Disney, NYC, and taken classes from many world-renowned choreographers.  We have also experienced different careers, marriage, divorce, births, deaths, success, and failure.  We both strongly believe that the sisterhood created in our "safe place" many years ago is a significant reason why we are who we are today. Hardworking. Resilient. Passionate. Strong.

We both continued to teach dance together for decades. We are family. We are sisters. This story would not be complete with out Miss Aimee's "little sister" Jenny. Miss Jenny. Jenny has been on this ride with us as well and has inspired and mentored so many students with us over the years. We would not and could not do this without her.

This is what we want to pass on. We certainly want to pass on our love of dance and properly educate our students. We also want, though, to create a space where the children feel free...safe....brave...and believe they simply can do anything! We want to instill self-confidence, self-worth and set an example for the strength in friendship. Although we are starting small with dreams to grow, we have realized it is not about the place. It is about the people. For this, we are grateful to have the opportunity to pass this on to all of the young dreamers out there....

This is "Our Legacy".
